“My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.”
– Dalai Lama
Kindness is a simple, yet powerful thing. Kindness can change
a person’s day, it can bring some joy in the most desperate situations, it brings the world together and shares love.
Simple acts of kindness make a difference. I live in a fairly big city, where some days it seems everyone is only thinking of themselves. Impatience, stress, anger, entitlement… Other days I see kindness everywhere. Is it just my state of mind? I try my best to be as kind I can be, but I know I have my off days, where I just want to be in bed and not interacting with others. But more times than not, if I find a little kindness in my heart and share it with someone, anyone, I feel so much better afterwards.
I challenge you to try it out. Be kind to someone today. Try doing something kind for a complete stranger, without the intent of acknowledgement. Make kindness your religion.
